THE WORLD'S BEST HAS FOUND HIS DREAM PARTNER: MATHIAS GIDSEL AND NORDIC DREAMS ENTER INTO A COLLABORATION

He has just been named Denmark’s Sports Personality of the Year 2025, and for the second year in a row he is officially the world’s best handball player. Behind the spectacular goals and the many titles lies relentless hard work and a constant focus on the crucial details off the court.

In a new documentary series, Mathias Gidsel and Nordic Dream invite Danes all the way into the handball star’s daily routines in Berlin.

Today Mathias Gidsel and the Danish bed manufacturer Nordic Dream announce a new partnership that highlights the road to the top – and the importance of remembering to take care of yourself along the way.

In a new video series, Danes are given a rare glimpse into Mathias Gidsel’s life off the court. Here, he talks about the small percentages that make the big difference, and about how, as “the smallest guy on the team,” he had to find his own path through dedication and uncompromising commitment.
