Caroline Wozniacki announced her retirement after the 2020 Australian Open however that wasn’t going to be her very last match. f Sports Group proudly got the opportunity to arrange her farewell match in Royal Arena in Denmark for all her fans who had been supporting throughout her career. An event called ‘The Final One’. The event was sold out in one day and was supposed to be played in May 2020 but due to Covid-19 the match was unfortunately postponed a couple of times.
Caroline Wozniacki has always been very popular on the international scene, and she is one of Denmark’s greatest sports personalities of all time. Also, she is one of the greatest Danish international brands, which made the event something very unique and historic for fans and sponsors all over the world.
It was the perfect celebration of Caroline Wozniacki and her outstanding career in front of 10,000 spectators. All the guests and Danish fans got the chance to say their final goodbye in the incredible surroundings of Royal Arena. The event was nominated for the ‘Best Sport Event 2022’ award by Ticketmaster.
She has done us all proud and we wanted to provide her with the best farewell match and pay tribute to her for a fantastic career and for the fantastic winner and person she is – exactly what a true legend deserves. We even had Liverpool F.C.’s successful Manager Jürgen Klopp to send her a video, wishing her best of luck for her retirement and with an invite to Anfield – Caroline is a massive Liverpool fan.
