THOMAS KONGSHØJ

Thomas Kongshoej is a Danish professional off-road rider and he has been racing for 28 years. He has won 10 Danish Championships in Motocross and Enduro and in 2022 he qualified for the world’s toughest race, the Dakar Rally, with his Spanish team Joy Ride Service. The Dakar Rally is a long-distance off-road race covering about 8,000 km through the desert over 12 days – in some of the toughest conditions imaginable.

In 2023, Thomas broke the Danish record with the best-ever result by a Dane in the Dakar Rally – in his first year competing. He repeated this in 2024, again setting a new Danish record and becoming the first Dane to finish the race in his first two tries. In 2025, Thomas broke another record by becoming the first Dane to complete the Dakar Rally three times in a row – all in his first three attempts. Thomas is the only Scandinavian currently racing in the Dakar Rally and he keeps bringing incredible results to him and his team.

Besides racing, Thomas runs Thomas Kongshoej Adventure, an event company that offers team building, and talks – all set in beautiful nature. These experiences can be used by companies, teams and individuals and Thomas makes sure to customise each event for the individual client.
